 Logic Puzzles - in "Obrazki logiczne" since November 2006
 
Available in issues of "Obrazki logiczne" No.: 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 43, 45, 47, 49, 54.

Solve the puzzle according to the hints. The given information is sufficient to completely solve the riddle. In the diagram, mark with a circle elements that are connected (e.g. Basia is an engineer) or with a cross elements not connected (e.g. Dorota is not an actress). Notice, that sentences like "Mrs. Kowalska and Dorota have jobs that start with the same letter" mean also, that Mrs. Kowalska's first name is not Dorota. Every puzzle has exactly one and only one solution.

Example:

Tests
Four friends (Adam, Marek, Jacek, Wojtek) wrote tests at school on Monday in four different subjects (biology, geography, physics, chemistry). Each boy got a different grade (D+, C-, B+, A). Determine, who wrote a test in which subject and what was his grade.

1. Marek did not receive a C-.
2. The physics test was taken by Adam or Marek.
3. The boy, who got a C-, didn't take a geography nor a physics test.
4. Wojtek's grade wasn't the lowest from all four boys, and Marek's - wasn't the highest.
5. The boy, who took a physics test, didn't get a D+ nor a B+.
6. Neither Jacek, nor Marek took a geography test.
7. The worst grade appeared on a test, that was not a chemistry test.


Solution:
Adam wrote a test in physics and got A.
Marek wrote a test in biology and got D+.
Jacek wrote a test in chemistry and got C-.
Wojtek wrote a test in geography and got B+.
